General Terms:

Initial consultations and quotations are free of charge and are carried out by email, telephone or Skype. Following consultation I will issue a freelancer agreement confirming the services that the client requires and the fees we have agreed. This agreement shall be legal and binding once signed for by or on behalf of each party.

I will proofread all work carried out, however, final proofreading lies with the client. Any mistakes will be amended free of charge if returned to me within 48 hours. All amendments after this period will be charged at £25 per hour.

I do not accept liability or responsibility for the end use of any documents or materials produced or edited on behalf of the client.

I reserve the right to reject any work which I believe to be unlawful or immoral.

Payment Terms:

Monthly plans are payable by standing order in advance of work commencing and thereafter on the same calendar day each month. Any additional time over the agreed plan will be billed at the current PAYG rate at the end of the month with 7 day payment terms. Monthly plans will continue until terminated by either party giving not less than 30 days' notice.

Pay as you go (PAYG) plans are invoiced on the last working day of the month with 14 day payment terms and can be paid by bank transfer. All time is logged and billed with a minimum booking of 1 hour. A full breakdown can be provided on request.

All telephone calls, Skype meetings, face-to-face meetings (including travel time) and any other use of my time (other than the initial free consultation) is fully chargeable.

Any additional costs incurred such as postage, bulk printing, stationery, premium rate telephone calls and travel (including mileage and parking) will be billed at cost.

Overdue invoices may incur interest at 8% above the Bank of England base rate.

In the event of a contract being terminated, all work completed up to that point will be invoiced and payable within 7 days.

Data Protection and Insurance:

I am registered with the Information Commissioner's Office on the public register of data controllers under registration reference ZA217600. A copy of my registration certificate can be provided on request.

I have Professional Indemnity and Public Liability insurance with Markel International Insurance Company Limited. Evidence of my insurance can be provided on request.
